Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

08 Jun 2023Oby to Thurne - The walk heads away from the river and takes you along a couple of country roads before turning off on to some fairly even grass footpaths which end at a short bank down to the road in front of Thurne church.
Thurne to Reps - Mainly even grass footpaths crossing fields with short walk through woodland.
Reps to Potter Heigham - The route then joins a country road for a short time, heading towards the river again. A narrow path of either concrete or grass then takes you behind some of the riverside properties and a converted drainage mill. From here there are stretches of the walk that go closer alongside the river itself until it reaches Heigham Bridge.
Terrain - Mostly flat although not very even in some places.
Views - Rivers Bure and Thurne, church, drainage mill, old bridge, woodland and open fields.
Resting places - Very few benches available along the route.
Navigation - Generally good signage.
