20 Jan 2024I walked from South Molton to Witheridge and enjoyed the route. There are some steep climbs, but the far reaching views means the effort is worth it.
As the others have mentioned, there is a mix of footpaths and lanes, but the lanes are very quiet, the least quiet being from Langley to Burrow Cross, but you can't call it busy.
Today the ground was frozen, but there are some short sections which obviously get very muddy. I will put a picture of the worst bit in the survey.
Would walk this again.

24 Feb 2022Best walked after dry weather. A mix of footpaths and on road sections but on very quiet roads. Path well marked. One foot bridge with steps, one stile. I actually walked from Witheridge to South Molton. Interesting round barn at lower Aldworthy. A longstone in a field which is fallinf over but protected by a fence. Route passes a Devon Wildlife Trust reserve.

02 Feb 2022An enjoyable walk. Long road sections, but on quiet "safe" lanes makes for an enjoyable route. Some very nice wooded sections on footpaths,,.
