Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

16 Jun 2023This was a great walk, predominantly on the Wolds Way route or other Public Footpaths through the East Yorkshire countryside. The only change I would make is for the section long Ferriby Foreshore there are in fact 2 options available in terms of footpaths - a "high tide" and "low tide" option. The route for this map follows the "low tide" option, which I wouldn't recommend. Even walking the route in June after over a month with no rain, and with the tide low, it was very muddy and slippery meaning I had to scramble through the flood defence boulders rather than walk along the beach.
In terms of accessibility - this route did have sections with steps to go up/down, and way primarily off-road.
