30 Sep 2022I walked this route from Bingham in September. There is a route-finding problem at the Bingham end because of building work, Having left the market place and crossed the railway, the section between SK70454.40454 and the A46 has been diverted, but is not well signed. The path NNW no longer exists. Go round the pond on a good path and cross Car Dyke on a footbridge (SK70704.40772) to pick up the right-of-way which takes you to the roundabout on the old A46 near Burrowfields farm, via High Westing farm. After that, route-finding is easy. A mixture of quiet roads/lanes, farm-tracks and footpaths. Very enjoyable. Refreshments are available in East Bridgford, Gunthorpe and Thurgarton.

30 Jan 2023That sounds like a significant enough diversion to merit a new route. I am planning to do this route soon and will investigate further, but if you are right and the Bingham diversion is still in place, I would be tempted to flag this route and create a better one.
