Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

02 Aug 2023I walked part of this route from Kenilworth up to Balsall Common (where I turned north to Meriden). Overall it's a good route but I have the following comments: (1) if you don't know Kenilworth (I was passing through) then I would definitely take the detour around the Castle. There is a footpath which takes you around the walls and it's spectacular. From there you can take Castle Hill, Malthouse Lane and the quiet Hollis Lane to join the marked route on the Kenilworth Greenway. The rest is very easy straight walking until my second point which is (2) that the next section has been blighted by the ugly offensive scar of massive HS2 Construction. The only redeeming feature is that they have built an alternative footpath, which is clearly signposted. But you are on gravel between fences, not trees.
