Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

22 Feb 2024This is a safe route between Snaith and Goole mainly using the bank of the River Aire. Although there were some muddy patches and evidence of cows being on the river bank, it was a very pleasant walk. Refreshments are available in RAWCLIFFE (Fish&Chip shop,Tea Room and pub as well as a food store) After leaving the river bank at Airmyn, the footpaths are easy to negotiate (tarmac surface/pavements) The walk passes West Park Goole, where there is a very good cafe
I would certainly walk this route again.

08 Aug 2022The first cross field path was ok today, but could get quite muddy following rain.
Evidence of cows on river bank, including warning signs, but did not see any cows today.
Refreshments available in Rawcliffe (Fish& Chip shop and cafe)
Cows near the footpath approaching Airmyn. River flood bank good walking surface. Several gates. Just before Airmyn, path diverted because of flood defence work. Well signposted route through village. Coming into Goole there is a park on the right with a good cafe. A good safe route that I am happy to walk again. There are no stiles, only gates. But not suitable for disabled access.
