Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

14 Aug 2024Use SlouIve Two that resolves access issue over the train lines at Slough station.

28 May 2022I planned to walk this route, which is all good apart from an access problem at Slough station. There is no access to cross the railway lines (unless with a ticket to travel).
I made a different start to the route which goes directly to the canal towpath, and have added to the network as SlouIve Two. It's more or less the same apart from the Slough part, and I recommend walking that one!.

03 Feb 2022I walked this route from Iver to Slough. I thought it was a really good route.
I loved the stretch through fields out of Iver, as it felt like a proper countryside adventure! Once the route gets on the canal towpath, it’s smooth sailing and easy walking almost all the way to Slough.
I’ve only dinged this route a star because the last bit into Slough is along some pretty big and pretty uninspiring industrial roads, so just not the most pleasant. It’s safe and accessible, just not necessarily attractive!
Slough centre is just a short walk from the train station, but you can’t walk through the station building to get there, you have to go around.
