Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Jul 2021Walked this route on a sunny July morning from Orcop Hill to Skenfrith. Visibility was great and the scenery stunning. There were a couple of steep sections and stiles and gates to be clambered over so the route would not be suitable for all. As often happens in summer, a number of footpaths at the edge and across fields were not discernible which made those sections harder work. Indeed, I didn't find the path down to Northgate Farm so walked the other 2 sides of the triangle instead. Overall it was an enjoyable walk, which I might do again after harvesting, benefitting from a pub at both ends. Skenfrith also has a ruined castle which is worth a visit.
(I twice tried to submit this review with photos but both times the site crashed).
