29 Nov 2022I walked this route yesterday from Sherston on a very pleasant sunny day, after a prolonged period of rain, and the 58 % + paved / road was helpful, because the wet and muddy sections were very wet and muddy. I recorded the route at 10.65 mi. There are no facilities in the middle third, but 0.23 mi from the turning to Leigh Delamere is the service station, which can be accessed from a feeder road.
En route there are 3 galv hunting gates, 1 galv kissing gate, 2 field gates, 4 timber stiles, and 2 sets of steps ( 9 & 7 ). I was pleasantly surprised by the section from under the A350 into Chippenham, which was not as I had expected.
