Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 Jun 2021Great Slow Way. When I walked it, there was some construction going on along the route so there were some brief diversions, but it was always easy enough to catch back up to the route. Much (if not all) of the route followed the Coastal Path. Much of the route was on paved beachfront paths, though the pavement quality varied. The stretch through Priory Woods was tricky for a few reasons - steep, muddy, wet, root-y, and with many trails all intersecting one another. I was happy I did the stretch through Priory Woods, but just be aware that it will be muddy and wet, and the other route option for this Slow Way takes a diversion around Priory Woods for this reason. Very beautiful Slow Way!.
