Description
This route is an improvement to RutMol Two, which already has positive reviews, but unfortunately directs people across some private land near Mold.
According to reviewers there are some spectacular views, several nice places to stop and eat/drink, and lots to see, it sounds lovely! You will need to climb some big hills, navigate some wet / deeply rutted fields and climb steep steps and stiles. Probably not accessible by all. It's very direct, just 15% further than the (super direct) shortest possible road route and most is off-road, but not near start or finish.
The reviews on RutMol Two have photos and more detail on specific points where you may want to keep an extra eye out for signposts and the like.
Breakpoints: No shop. Bus routes X1 and 1 on A494. Online maps show a few places to stay near the route.
Pub in Cadole (mini diversion into village included) and goes right past both the pub in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clywd and the cafe/tea gardens in Loggerheads CPk

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

26 Oct 2022 (edited 14 Jan 2023)An improved route for RUTMOL 2 (which crossed private land near Plas Hafod Hotel, near Mold); In Jan 2023 NRW cleared path along SE edge of Clwyd Forest- still rough and not waymarked, but now useable; at NE corner of forest there is clear sloping diagonal path (avoids very steep section) and stile into field to avoid house garden.
