Description
Shortest viable route. Leaves Rugeley via Trent and Mersey Canal then joins pavements of main roads towards Rugeley Trent Valley Railway Station. Having passed the station a series of footpaths takes you across fields to Hill Ridware where there is a pub. From Hill Ridware there is a short section of quiet lane walking as far as Pipe Ridware. There the route picks up the Way for the Millennium across more fields to Yoxall

02 Dec 2023A really nice idea for a route but has a couple of problems. The plotting near Morrey is not completely clear and requires some interpretation. There are a couple of sections near Morrey that are very overgrown too. I have improved this route and submitted it as Rugyox 6.
