Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

10 Nov 2022 (edited 15 Oct 2023)This is a viable route, most of which Nic Howes trialled on 10.11.22, while trialling Rosled two. The issue with Rosled one is that it extends what is already a relatively long Slow Way for the sake of following more of the Herefordshire Trail/Three Choirs Way towards the remains of Oldbury hill fort.
Rosled two is more direct than Rosled one but it has two points at which it is impassable, so I have created Rosled three, which I think is the best route, and the one for which I have created a more precise and accurate .gpx track. Dan Raven-Ellison walked Rosled three in October 2023 and found it necessary to tweak the .gpx at one point to go round the edges of a tall crop that obliterated the mapped line of the PROW. I have moved my review of Rosled three across to Rosled four.
Rosled one has many great sections but Ross to Crow Hill is spoiled by proximity to the M50 followed by a long section beside a busy minor road, way marking is patchy, route finding is difficult due to poor maintenance and the section from Much Marcle to Ledbury has many large arable fields that lack interest.
