Description
This route is very similar to Romkin One but is re-routed south of Michelmersh to avoid the busy A3057.
The route takes you north from Romsey to the village of Michelmersh across quiet countryside - the A3057 is very briefly followed (5 mins) but otherwise the route is on footpaths or quiet lanes. Of note are the bluebell woods on the footpath north of Michelmersh church.
Wide views across the Test Valley on the latter sections

14 May 2021Overall an extremely pleasant route. The stretch on the A3057 is pretty uncomfortable, but it seems to be unavoidable and it's pretty short. Got a bit lost around the Casbrook Common area but the paths are definitely there and fine for walking. There was a locked gate across the Slow Way at one point, on what looks very much to be a public footpath.. I stuck to the Slow Way and didn't have any trouble, but another thing to know beforehand!.

19 May 2021Thanks for your review. The Casbrook Common section seems to have been re-routed in recent years, I think there used to be a gravel pit there which has since closed - I remember being a bit confused when I walked it in April 2019 having last walked it some 10 years earlier.
