Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

17 May 2021Horrible. More than three miles of this route are along The Ridgeway, which carries heavy, fast moving traffic, with just a narrow (even non-existent in places) footpath. I would certainly not use it for walking or cycling.

02 May 2021I would not class this as a suitable route for Slow Ways - it's mainly walking next to a busy main road (A1005) with a 50mph speed limit. The route also involves navigating the roundabout onto J24 of the M25 which does not have traffic lights to make the traffic stop for pedestrians.
I would not feel safe walking this route.

30 Apr 2021I would only use this route in a car, not suitable for bike or walking, you have to negotiate the M25 roundabout and the Ridgeway is horrible. Go via Cooper's Lane Road instead.
