29 Aug 2023Cannot recommend this route at all.
Boggy, wet, stinking to start at Pont. Continues in a similar vein near Cross Hands.
Worst of all: it's intersected south of Cross Hands by the A48. You literally have to run across 4 lanes of 70mph traffic with full crash barriers in place.
The GPX file is pretty inaccurate as well.
Walking along the old railway at the start was interesting however. Perhaps a Pontyberem to Tumble route might be better.
