Description
From Heol-Y-Groes in Pencoed, use the path connecting with Felindre Avenue. From the end of this road there's a footbridge across the river, giving access to a path leading down to Felindre Rd (or walk down Felindre Avenue). Cross the A473 at the roundabout and continue towards Felindre. The main road section has a wide pavement/cycle path and pedestrian crossings at the roundabout.
The footpath between Felindre and Brynnau Gwynion is well-marked, and Brynna Road has a pavement. The footpath/track around the edge of Brynna is fine, but you could also stay on the road (turn onto Gellifedi Rd, which becomes Mynydd Coedbychan).
The track over the hill is fine apart from a couple of waterlogged spots. In hiking boots, resigned to being muddy, it was fairly easy to navigate it
