A good route along established footpaths and farm tracks. Muddy in places after wet weather but easy enough going. The route from Otley starts by following the Wharfe, before turning up to Leathley, with nice views along the valley. It then follows good farm tracks and well signed footpaths to Riffa woodland (accessed via a simple stream crossing), before threading up a v old and attractive trackway to Stainburn, with more views of Almscliffe Crag.

Minus one star for a short section of road verge walking around some bends.

Mostly farm tracks and fields with a beautiful woodland section.

Four stars as not fully accessible due to stiles and a stepping stone crossing.

Care required crossing a single car width bridge with no doorways.

Nice easy walk from Stainburn to Otley, virtually all downhill. Riffa Wood was full of bluebells and quite beautiful.

There's benches at Leathley village hall which is roughly the mid-point, so good for a quick rest.

If walking from Otley to Stainburn I recommend carrying on up the hill from Stainburn to St Mary's church. It's very peaceful and has a bench if you need a sit down.
