Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

10 Jan 2022I think there is a problem with this route around OS Grid Ref SP 85972 81826 where the route leaves Station Road and heads through the quarry (Hanson Aggregates). The quarry appears to be private and gated and unsafe to attempt to pass through. I have attached a screenshot centred on the Slow Way, a screenshot of the associated OS Map and a photo of the access road.
Other than that it looks like a great route, I've walked the first half of it from Northampton to Cogenhoe many times.

04 Mar 2022This is where you have to go through the car park for "Earls Barton Bends" picnic area and then pick the path up that is parallel to the Nene about 3m away from it - and watch for the kingfisher that has been seen along there!
