15 Jan 2023I walked this on a overcast Saturday afternoon, with one rain shower, from Northolt to Wembley.
It's a pretty dull route, with little green. From Northolt it follows a residential crescent (photo #1), and turns at the church on the hill (photo #2). The rest is pretty much residential streets, some busy roads, and parades of shops (photo #3). The only bit of green is going up Horsenden Hill (photo #4) where it follows the Capital Ring for a short bit. After another parade of shops on Whitten Avenue West, you walk up onto a bridge to cross the tube, where there was quite a fair view (photo #5), before going past Sudbury Town tube station (photo #6) to continue along Harrow Road, and along Barham Park (photo #7) to end up at the busy Wembley Central station.
It's a fair route, but boring, and little green.

03 Jan 2023I walked from Wembley to Northolt. After the Wembley/Sudbury section, most of the route is through suburban streets, though there's one short section of greenery through Horsenden Hill. The route is predominantly through housing built in the inter-war period, during the large-scale expansion of London suburbs. These are punctuated occasionally by the appearance of small parades of shops, like the one in the picture in Sudbury.

19 Nov 2021I walked from Northolt to Wembley. This is a short walk through suburban and residential streets. There is a short section alongside Horsenden Hill and I was tempted to take a detour through the woods. There is also Barham park which could be walked through rather than past. Despite this there is plenty of interest in the buildings of all eras from 1850's to the present, ending in an equally eclectic mix of shops at Wembley.

15 Jan 2023For some reason, photo #3 didn't make it, so subtract "1" from the descriptions for photos 4-7!
