I walked this route in the Crediton - North Tawton direction at the beginning of October on a lovely sunny day. This route is quite long with lots of ups and down. The upside to this are the numerous breathtaking views along the route. This sloway mostly follows the Devonshire Heartland Way although waymarking is patchy so you will need a map to follow it. Pubs can be found in Crediton, Yeoford, Zeal Monachorum and North Tawton. Buses 5A and 5B will take you back to your start point.
I would defenitely recommend this sloway as one of the prettiest I have done around Crediton.
