25 Jun 2022I walked from Bushey to Northwood. There were some standout sections - through Attenborough fields in Bushey and then through Oxhey Woods. Prestwick Road in South Oxhey may be difficult to cross in heavy traffic, but there is a traffic island near the route which I used to make it easier. At the Northwood end, the paths could get quite dark with the trees and fences on either side, and as the other reviewers mentioned do have a fair few nettles in places. There is probably a better route, particularly once you get beyond South Oxhey, but this one is at least easy to navigate and is a reasonable walk.

15 May 2022I walked this from Bushey to Northwood. It starts off with some fields going uphill a little, and then there is a narrow and muddy section along the WCML. After crossin underneath you cross a golf course. The route takes you along Oxhey Drive, but there is a much nicer path north of it through the woods for a little while. This was probably the nicest section of the walk. After coming out of the woods it is then narrow passageways between two fences on a muddy path with lots of nettles. It might almost be better to go along the residential roads instead.

24 Oct 2021I walked from Bushey to Northwood. Generally downhill. After a short section at the beginning through open fields with cows the horizon rapidly narrowed. Little passageways between houses, then tunnels of trees through Oxhey woods and a long narrow passage down into Northwood. Very lovely on a sunny day but unlit and not for walking after dark. The paths are grassy, muddy, rutted, and the tarmac is in disrepair; fine underfoot but not good for wheels. Very narrow in places (50cm).
