Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

28 Apr 2021Review – from St Merryn to Padstow (not complete Slow Way)
The route is a mix of farmland paths & minor roads (some could be busy in the holiday periods?)
This part of the route had approx. 19 stiles / gates / obstructions.
Accessible by foot, Surfaces of tarmac & grass some uneven.
Good for direct route.
Just over 6km, cafes / pub / restaurants at both St Merryn & Padstow.
Public Toilets in Padstow, not sure about St Merryn
Reasonably easy to navigate if used to using OS Maps.
Nice rural views & some views of Camel Estuary on approach to Padstow.
On route is Edward Prynn's Collection of Standing Stones!! https://edwardprynn.tripod.com/new/index.html
Would use this route again, it's a good alternative to the coast path.
Would only suggest this route to able-bodied people.
