28 Mar 2023Starting from New Milton station.
Mixture of road and cross country. Some of the roads were unpaved albeit mostly quiet roads. The walk was done after a period of heavy rain, meaning in some places it was soft under foot.
In my opinion this walk is not suitable for any sort of wheels. The narrowest part through one of the kissing gate being a tight fit with just my small backpack.
Once away from the centre of New Milton the area opened up into quiet residential roads and countryside and eventually over the cattle grids into the New Forest. Once entering the National Park you have the pleasure of enjoying everything the national park offers. Roaming animals, a huge variety of birds and ever changing vegetation.
The walk finishes at Brockenhurst station.
