I confirm that there is no public right of way through Green Man Woods. I have checked the access points at both ends and they are either signed as private or totally overgrown and impenetrable. Just bypassing this wood on the road is unpleasant and bordering on unsafe as the road is a fast rabbit run. I am about to post a suggested alternative which was boring and mostly on tarmac but met all the Slow Ways criteria being on quiet lanes and tarmaced by-ways.

I have not walked this route, but for anyone who does, please be aware that the middle section, through Green Man Woods to Metheringham Lodge, is not a public right of way. Attached below are photos taken from the Metheringham Lodge end showing clear signage advising this is not accessible.
