Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Aug 2023An easy route to follow and a reliably pleasant walk. Much of it paved so also perfectly useable in a welsh valleys winter.

11 Aug 2022August 2022. Direction: Mountain Ash to Abercynon.
An easy route through the Cynon Valley, mostly along the Cynon Trail, suitable for wheels of all types. Also, a pleasant riverside walk for most of the way.
At the time of my walk, there were major works being carried out near Abercynon station car park and you can`t get to the station directly from the "snicket" path from the B4275. The shortest alternative is to stay on the B4275 and go under the railway bridge then turn left down Station Road.

20 Jun 2022A really nice route that follows the the river between Mountain Ash and Abercynon. The route is very easy to follow and flat. the path is almost all concrete so suitable for everyone on foot or bike. It is also signposted so you hardly need to look at your map.
