Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

09 Jun 2022I have run this route on many occasions, both on my own and with my daughter in the buggy. It is lovely, mostly flat and off road along the old railway line. It takes you from the centre of Moretonhampstead, through Lustleigh and into the centre of Bovey Tracey. The start and finish of the route have lots of amenities including shops, places to eat, places to stay and are on bus routes.

06 Feb 2022This is a lovely, quiet route for the length of journey. I cycle it a lot. Beautiful ride along the Wray Valley Trail either end, with a short road section on very quiet lanes in the middle. Lovely all year round, but particularly in spring.

01 Sep 2021The sections on the old railway track are suitable for all users. You need to climb/descend a hill to join/leave the path at Moretonhampstead. The middle section through Lustleigh is hilly is on the public highway (no pavement).
