Description
This is a pretty direct route from Mold to Buckley which includes some off road and some on road sections. On the Mold side there is a walk beside the river and floodplains, a central mile on a busyish road, then quiet lanes and footpath through fields and beside paddocks before Buckley centre. It crosses the Mold bypass in a safe place at the roundabout, where there are also decent pavements and crossing islands.
A review on Molbuc 1 says the fields near Buckley, between Rose Lane and Langford Crescent, "can get a bit boggy, even without bad weather". If that might bother you they suggest skirting round on Rose Lane and Well Street which are "relatively quiet". Or you could stick to the main road instead and save your energy for some more scenic walking elsewhere.
It's a pretty short route with shops etc at both ends but if you are hungry or caught short there are a few options for you near the roundabout where you cross the bypass

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
