Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

12 Dec 2024I walked this route from Mitcham to Streatham.
It is basically a straight and quite busy main road.
Easy to navigate, but not much to report. Hey! I didn’t even take photo!
If you really want a bit of greenery you can always detour through Figgers Marsh.
Not many appealing places to stop to eat, but enough convenience shops to keep you nourished.
And yes, there is a hill into Streatham. Who knew!.

07 Oct 2024I walked this on a warm morning from Mitcham to Streatham.
It's basically a straight line along a major road. It's not too busy, but it wasn't nice either. The hill into Streatham was unexpected.
It's an OK route, but not the greenest.

25 Mar 2022Main road all the way passing a little bit of Greenspace in the form of Figges Marsh.
Mainly flat till about halfway along Mitcham Lane where there is a slight hill.

12 Dec 2024Thanks for this! I"m thinking there may be a better less roady option via Streatham Common station, may go and investigate - meanwhile we have a verified route here.
