Report

A safe and direct route using the canal that links the two towns. The canal runs alongside the main road for a large part of the way, so you are never too far away from traffic noise, but nevertheless this is a pleasant easy walk. The towpath is mostly grass and soil, so could get muddy in winter. There are no steps or stiles on this route, only some steep inclines by the locks.
