Description
This route is, hopefully, an improvement on MenBan One, as it breaks up a long walk beside the A5. Still pretty direct though, only 500m longer than MenBan One (which is all on-road). And still has good views over the Menai Straits from the bridge.
The section of the route near Nantporth isn't the "coastal" path but a higher (and newer) one which skirts the wooded area around the field boundaries. It's fenced off from the fields so very easy to follow on the ground. You could take the original reserve path but it involves many steps, is muddy and has a steep slope sideways through woodland, this is easier.
Thanks to Kate who reviewed the original route and explained this one to me

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

10 Apr 2024Easy to follow route around Bangor although it's surprising how steep the city is! Nice coastal path section followed by stunning views from the Menai Bridge. No issues with navigation or access on this route.
