Description
Another alternative route from Marshfield to Chippenham. This route removes the non public-right-of-way section through North Woods from marchi one, and also avoids the (temporarily?) difficult footpath around Lucknam Park.
There are pubs in Ford and Biddestone as convenient places to break your walk

20 Aug 2022Amazing !
The day this was uploaded, I walked from Marshfield to Chippenham, following this route for about 95 %
Its a great route, much very quiet tarmac, fine views, with the benefit of pubs etc at both Ford and Biddestone
I will upload my slightly different route, the difference being a set of steps down to the pub in Ford, and cutting out Biddestone centre.
Regarding Marchi two I was notified by Wilts Council that the DEEP mud near Lucknam had been rectified, but obviously with the weather we've had this summer that's hardly a surprise.

20 Aug 2022Great! Glad you liked it. I walked the where the mud was today - and it has definitely dried up (obviously) but it did look to me as if there had also been repairs done, so fingers crossed it has been actually fixed.
