A desktop exercise, I don't know the area and haven't walked the route. It does however use a good section of the snailed route Bramai-2

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

25 Jun 2023A mostly quiet walk through a green countryside with a couple of sections where walkers need to share a road with cars.
The route is relatively straight and leads mostly under the protection of trees. My estimate is that 60% is in shade and the rest is an open country.
As for safety, there is one section where walkers need to be vigilant, namely on Braziers Lane which has no pavement, and the road edge is not wide. It helps to make yourself visible to drivers.
Some footpaths on the way were not well maintained and the route was blocked by overarching bramble canes so wearing long trousers is advisable.
The route is fairly easy to follow but it there are a couple of places where the path on the ground can make one miss a turn. For instance a turn to Hibbert Road from Windsor Road in Bray Wick.
Even though the route is mostly enjoyable, the last couple of km before Braywick Park Nature Reserve in Maidenhead requires one to cross busy streets and walk along noisy roads. If I was to choose next time, I’d prefer a route leading via Bray rather than Bray Wick.
You can also spare yourself a short walk along a road by taking a shortcut via a public footpath off Forest Green Road instead.
There are pubs on the route, for instance at Winkfield.
