30 Mar 2024If you want a connection between Lordshill and Southampton, this is the shortest of the walks available. There is a bit of greenway (use caution if it has recently rained as it will be muddy) closer to the Lordshill end, but most of the walk is along an urban commercial corridor (lots of shops, ethnic markets, food takeaway, pubs...), which can be vibrant and fun if you're in the mood for that sort of environment. The only caution for pedestrians is that the road is vehicle-heavy, with many small intersections and side streets. Most intersetions do not have a crossing light, so stay aware. There are two other Lorsou walks that are a bit longer but incorporate more greenspaces. If you're not looking to save time, take a look at either of those.

13 Nov 2023It's urban in nature, except for the northern section through the greenway, so don't expect peace and quiet and woodland paths. But for a route that connects people and places, it works and would be accessible to most.
