Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

21 Oct 2024We walked from Loddon to Brooke on this route and had the following observations
1. The route out of Loddon is simple and has good pavements and alternative options.
2. The roundabout where the Mundham Road meets the A146 Norwich Road has a clear and simple place to cross out of Loddon.
3. The Mundham Road is quite busy and a hemmed in by steep verges. There is a need to keep a watch out for cars along here.
4. The footpaths in this area seem rarely to be used, thus are not always visible. Luckily there are alternative options on the roads but be careful as some roads in this area can be dangerous due to high verges and limited visibility.
5. The footpath from St Peter's Church, Mundham to Seething had no obvious entrance and cows have clearly used the field, so take care here.
6. The footpath route from Seething to Brooke was very unclear at the time of year we walked it (October). There were sporadic signs and paths crossed fields invisibly (we used GPS). There are gaps through hedges but you have to trust in your GPS and walk over grass and crops.
7. At some points on this footpath there were very muddy sections where cows had been herded, surrounded by electric fences which were live. This felt dangerous and I would not want to walk that way again.
8. Once the footpath reaches the small woodland sections and skirts around them, the route is clear and well-trodden all the way into Brooke.
