Description

Some adjustments are proposed to Llapet One:

(1) Landowner at Keepers Lodge Farm has requested that walkers take a clockwise route from the farm to the corner of Llwyn-Yoy woodlands that keeps to asphalt paths and avoids crossing cow fields

(2) Llwyn Rhyddid Farm is difficult to navigate, suggest a clockwise loop around Mill Pond as the shorter route is very overgrown

(3) Tre-Dodridge to Pendoylan short cut suggested to join the Pendoylan to Clawdd-Coach road.

(4) South of Pendoylan suggest avoiding the field crossing at Nant-y-Felin, very overgrown, stick to the road for longer

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

  1. Complete the survey training.

One Woman Walks

19 Apr 2025 Spring

Really pleasant walking, few dodgy stiles to be careful of but on the whole load of clear formats signage and plenty of obvious gates.

The amendment 2 in the route description that says to go clockwise around the mill pond at Llwyn Rhyddyd is impossible. It suggests a track that doesn't exist when all signage points to the footpath. The original route south of the pond isn't overgrown at all, it's a well walked path. See picture for footpath to use.
