Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 May 2023Anfield and Everton - a good route for football fans!
Walked Liverpool to Walton.
It’s a solid urban route with a mix of residential, larger roads, and urban parks. Stanley Park is delightful and Everton Park has an interesting history, and great views across the city.
I got refreshments at AJ’s sandwich bar on Soho Street, then walked them up the hill to have as a well deserved reward in Everton Park.
The route skirts Anfield and passes right by Everton; what a great alternative to the usual tours of the city!.
Hiking Historian
25 Mar 2022A rerouted version of the original walk, but adjusted for accuracy and access. Most of the walk is along good surfaces, with ramps and crossings where appropriate. The climb in Everton Park may be too steep for all but the more powerful motorised wheelchairs, and the estate just after it has high pavements, but driveways provide some ramps in this location. Shops at both ends, with good public transport links, and two good parks, and great views across Liverpool.
