Description

This route option corrects the entry/exit point to the Greenway at Heckmondwike (which is not correct on Livhec One); generally makes more use of the Greenway, which is a pleasant walking and cycling path connecting Liversedge with Heckmondwike. Most of the route is now on the Greenway

Report

I walked from Liversedge to Heckmondwike.
This is a short, simple, but effective route making the most of the Spen Valley Greenway, a disused rail track converted to a combined cycle and foot path.
There is a lovely friendly and popular refreshment stop at the Liversedge end. Some art installations along the way. At Heckmondwike a shop window full of old vacuum cleaners. All in all a little gem.
