I walked from Liverpool Street to Dalston.
Not much ro add from the previous reviews apart from that I enjoyed it as well.
The only problem was exiting Liverpool Street Station, there are many building and road works, and GPS doesn't work well between the tall buildings, quite disorientating. The rest is easy navigation.

Just adding a +1 to the earlier reviews: if you have the choice, start at Dalston and head southward (this is a very straight route): as you walk the architecture changes every ten minutes or so as you pass domestic houses, flats, converted warehouses and then the shiny towers of Broadgate and Liverpool street - sort of an architectural history of London.

This is an easy to follow, safe and direct route taking the quieter streets between Dalston and Liverpool Street. Less people, less cars, less pollution, it’s so much nicer than taking the busier main road. Easy to reach refreshments and some pockets of green along the way make for a good walk.

We walked this route from Dalston to Liverpool Street. Overall, it's quite pleasant. It follows quiet roads almost entirely, and most - if not all of it - is a cycleway, so there are more people on bikes in the roads than people driving. Makes the pavements very comfortable for walking. There's a few nice patches of greenery along the way, and it's really fascinating to wach the city change over time as you come into it.

Good direct route due south from Dalston, a few roads over from the busy A10. Easy to navigate, past the old Moleman house on the corner of Mortimer Road (Google it!), across the canal, past where the all-drinks-are-99p bar used to be in Old Street, and all of a sudden you're in through the bankers' back door of Liverpool St Station. Memory lane!.

Good route, direct, follows fairly quiet, attractive back roads, and ignores the obvious direct route up the A10.
Routes via de Beauvoir town, Hoxton, and Shoreditch. Plenty of refreshments on the way.
Recommend.

I enjoyed this walk. Lots to see. It's not as direct as walking down busy Kingsland Road and Shoreditch High Street, but it's much quieter and less polluted.

Direct but relatively quiet route, as it follows along one of the core cycle routes in London (CS1) so limited through traffic on these roads.
