Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

  1. Complete the survey training.

The route looks slightly off on the map - you should actually cross the viaduct then turn left just after that (screenshot of map showing this uploaded). Generally good under foot, there was only one muddy patch and that was after rain the night before. Route takes you out of Leslie (there are a couple of good cafes at this end of the village), over a viaduct with scenic views, through woodland, open parkland with pieces of sculpture, and a short urban stretch around the outside of the shopping centre to reach the end point. Slight shortcut at the end if you cut to the right of the building behind the town clock.
