I walked from Lapford to Witheridge and really enjoyed the walk. All the paths were in good condition, and it was easy to navigate. There is a long section along lanes, but they are so quiet, it's more like walking on big paths.
As you climb out of Lapford make sure you look back as the views from there are outstanding, with Dartmoor in the far distance.
On the lane section in the middle there are also good views, but probably more in the winter when the hedgerow is lower.
I walked on a warm summers day and the sections of woodland were nicely spaced out to provide shade just when I needed it.
There are some climbs, but not too strenuous, and worth it for the views.

A lovely walk with amazing views. Walked on a very hot day but even on the lanes there was plenty of shade. Lovely walk through woods and although some climbing needed nothing too bad. And a pub in Witheridge to quench my thirst!.

A nice route. A long walk along roads at its centre. But these roads are very quiet and make for an enjoyable walk. The walk along the river is very pleasant, and the field crossings above Lapford are a delight.
