Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

31 May 2021I started this route from Kings Bromley. The first section follows the Yoxall Road which is fast and can be quite busy but the verge is very wide and even. There are view of the River Trent to the northern side but signs remind you that the land on the other side is private. Where this route differs from Kinyox One is that rather than continuing to follow the main road it takes a footpath off to the left which takes you over the Trent and into a lane then via a series of well mowed footpaths, delivers you to the edge of Yoxall.
I was perfectly happy with this part of the route until this point. Kinyox Two, having crossed a local park, then takes a footpath that goes around the main part of Yoxall. It ascends, crosses two stiles and then descends through a graveyard, then a churchyard direct to the Yoxall meeting point, bypassing a shop (which I needed) and a pub. I’ve fixed this issue with Kinyox Three. In summary Kinyox Two is a good, mainly clear and pleasant route. I’d take a point off for missing the only possible shop of the route but I have no problem with recommending it as an option. If you prefer to minimise pavement use, it’s the route for you.
