23 Mar 2022As has been mentioned in another review, there is an obvious different route, on an easy to walk hard surface track, around the MOD base. It runs in the inside of the base railway track, not around the outside as indicated on the route and OS mapping. However the rest of the route is easy to follow, although there is a ford (with stepping stones) between Hornton and Ratley that may be impassable after rainfall. There are 40 gates and stiles, 2 bridges and that ford. A very muddy cattle farm, also between Hornton and Ratley, and it can be wet on the flat farmland leading into Little Kineton. Every village has a pub between Banbury and Edgehill, but no access to refreshments once you go down the escarpment until Kineton. Plenty of buses servicing both Banbury and Kineton.

29 May 2021An easy route through arable fields and a few lovely villages. Route finding is straight forward, the only issue is around the MoD base near Kineton. Walking from Banbury to Kineton the route takes an obvious detour from the map path but If walking from Kineton to Banbury you will end stuck as you approach the base boundary. I will suggest adetour around this section.
