25 Aug 2023From Kings Cross with open squares, market and shops to Angel with shops and market via a peaceful canal side walk and quiet streets.
Book shop in a canal barge, Word on the Water, was a gem.
Temporary work on a path caused a slight diversion (25/8/23) easy to walk around, see map screenshot.
Lovely walk.

22 Jun 2023Our Goodgym running team ran from Angel to King's Cross following Regent's Canal. A beautiful route for a sunny Summer evening. Be wary for busy times, and tight sections under canalside bridges. But otherwise, a wonderful walk away from the hustle and bustle of Central London.

12 Oct 2022Great route which uses the canal link between Kings Cross and Islington, very little traffic. Not as direct as the Pentonville Road but way nicer.
Recommend.

19 Feb 2022It is a good route, and the canal is lovely (even in the drizzle). I didn't follow this route 100%, and went up on the east side of King's Cross Station as I was on auto-pilot.

06 Feb 2022Some people say Slow Ways aren't for the cities, but I'd disagree! This is a really peaceful and thoughtful way to get between Kings Cross and Angel along the canal. It works day and night (as Culpeper Park isn't locked at night).

04 Feb 2022A simply perfect route! Lovely walking along the canal from King’s Cross, easy and straightforward exploring once you get off the canal, and lots of stuff in Angel on the other end! We were happy to walk through the Angel market near the route node. Fantastic walk.

03 Feb 2022Walked this one in early evening, but winter so it was dark, from west to east. The Kings X Granary Sq development was a spectacular start, the canal section was being well used but not crowded, although you do have to be alert to bikes, as always on towpaths. Drops you right into Angel via quiet streets, a very nice route.

13 Nov 2021I agree with the previous reviewer - very pleasant walk on a mix of residential streets and the canal, when then leads on into the new development north of King's Cross. Should be manageable for wheels - a couple of slopes going on and off the canal are the only significant inclines.

30 Sep 2021This is a lovely route between Angel and Kings Cross, it avoids the main roads, in fact it is mainly traffic free. Easy to follow but would never have discovered this route by myself. The route quickly leaves the busy roads and heads through a pleasant residential area on a footpath, then joins the towpath of the canal. When almost at Kings Cross leaves the towpath and joins the Kings Cross/St Pancreas complex.
I normal walk from Angel to Kings Cross down the main road. Will not do that again.
Really shows what a difference a route created with local knowledge makes.
