Description

Instead of following Maida Vale, which is busy with heavy traffic, follow a much quieter parallel road.

Also avoid a dirty and not well lit underpass under the Westway and instead get onto the towpath at Little Venice instead of a little later

Straightforward route through some pleasant parts of London. I especially like the way it goes through Paddington station along the platforms, on what iirc used to be a taxi road; the taxis could draw up more or less alongside the trains. Well, now it's a footpath.

Some of the 19th century houses are really lovely architecture, and there is always something interesting coming up, a church or a tube station or a canal. Good route.

I walked from Kilburn to Paddington.
This route quickly gets off the main road and goes past Maida Vale station along a road full of the bustle of everyday life. Grand town houses through Warwick Avenue then to the canal. A short flight of wide steps down to the canal. There are cobbles but these can be avoided walking through a trendy canal-side area with lots of pubs and places to eat. You approach Paddington from the back of the station, you can walk around to avoid stairs or down along the platforms to the front.
A good walk.

I really enjoyed this route as I walked from Paddington to to Kilburn. I liked the bit along the canal quite a lot, and then the walk through more residential neighbourhoods was quite pleasant, too. No complaints here! Great route.

A pretty good route, but besides the bit along the canal, almost exclusively through residential areas.
