Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Apr 2023Roadworks around Paddington so a bit confusing to find the Canal but lovely once you got there! I wanted to stay walking along the canal but route takes you away to get to Kilburn. Lovely houses around Madia Vale !.

27 Aug 2022I walked this route from Kilburn to Paddington. It's not a bad route; it's direct, safe, accessible, and the part after Maida Vale is quite pleasant and attractive. I walked the big Maida Vale road on a Saturday evening of a bank holiday, so it was quiet, and the pavements are wide, so it really wasn't too bad. I definitely prefer Kilpad two, but this route isn't so bad, either!!.

27 Aug 2022Oh I'll also note - there's a diversion around Paddington Square, so you can't access the front of Paddington Station off of London Street, and the construction path takes you down Tanner Lane to Praed Street. No biggie.

25 Jun 2022I mean, it's OK. But it is not pleasant along Maida Vale when it's warm with a lot of traffic. The alternative Kilpad two is much nicer, and is also less confusing near Little Venice. (Disclosure: I added that).
