01 Dec 2021I was really pleased with this route. I walked it from Hampstead Heath and found the other reviewers were accurate in their descriptions of the barriers and how to get around them. It was a very pleasant way to connect two places that are surprisingly close on foot! Lots of interesting sights, quiet residential streets, business districts, and green oases. I really enjoyed this one!.

04 Nov 2021I walked from Hampstead to Kilburn. I agree with Jbax, the previous reviewer. There is a gated area near Hampstead but easily navigated around past the hospital there is a huge variety of architecture from cute Mews to the Brutalist Ainsworth estate. A huge variety of architecture. Also a variety of trees from the flakey gum to the solid black pine.
Hampstead curbs can be 'double stepped' and there is a short flight of stairs but these can be easily skirted around, so this route can be done with wheels.
Shops, cafes, and pubs all along the route.

22 Jun 2021This route takes you through many residential communities and connects two areas that aren't easy to navigate to on the underground. There are a couple issues with the route: I started at Hampstead Heath, and the route takes you through a private gated Mews. Instead, take Pond street up until the hospital. The route also somehow bisects the College Crescent area. I assume that this is trying to take you through the school that is there, but this was behind a locked gate.
The highlight of the walk is the Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate (can be seen in the Kingsman movie), which is architecturally interesting and overgrown with greenery. However, the area is a little bit of a maze if you decide to look around. Be sure to continue straight down the same path. After that estate is another one which ends with a gate. The gate was not locked.
Overall this route was easy and pretty accessible. It starts and ends in downtown areas with public transport, food, and shops.
