Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

19 Sep 2023The route starts with a decent mix of footpaths, back streets and then a long straight road to the edge of Huntingdon. Then there is a long road to the village of Kings Ripton. The first part of this road has a footpath beside it until the crematorium. Then you are walking on the road and hopping up on to the verge to avoid getting run down. The traffic is fast on this stretch.
From Kings Ripton you are on to fairly well defined and signed public footpaths through Broughton, Wiston and through Bury to Ramsey. Some fields to cross so might depend on what season you are walking this. I have given this 3 stars because of bit of road walking. There were several stiles including a double one - i would only recommend this route for walkers. I did this in two stages and stopped at Glebe Farm Campsite at Kings Ripton.
