Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

19 Jun 2023This walk started off relatively safe before then walking along the main road heading out of Hoveton. I tried walking down what I believed was a route off of the main road but it led to a dead end. I then returned back to the main road and looked for a right turn as per the map. Finding what I believed was the correct way was tricky because I found myself on what I believed was private land, but there were no signs to say private so I continued. No angry farmer approached so I continued navigating my way through farm land and eventually ended up in Neatishead for a well deserved drink in the local pub The White Horse. From there it felt relatively easy and very pleasant indeed, walking across big fields where the footways were clearly used by others. After quite some time the walk finally took me back onto the main road where I walked the rest of the way to Stalham. Unfortunately not a great end to the walk being back on a very busy main road. The midway parts to this walk were lovely and peaceful with some gorgeous countryside scenery however I couldn’t recommend it because of the dangerous main road aspect. Unless I had gone the wrong way to start and finish, I’m not sure.
