Description
Very similar to Horems one, but made the plotting more exact and also tweaked the Emsworth end to have basically the same length but show off the Hampshire Farm Meadow instead of paths behind residential neighbourhoods

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 May 2023I walked this route from Horndean to Emsworth. It's a good walk!
Leaving Horndean, the route tucks in behind the industrial area by the A3. It's a bit funny, but largely pleasant woodland walking. I'm sure it's moderately more pleasant than just following Havant Road, but the road has pavements. If you're in a hurry or unimpressed with the 'dog-leg', you could probably do fine staying on Havant Road.
The roundabout at Havant Road is ok, with medians, just a bit annoying to cross. The path coming off Havant Road into Stein Wood is a bit overgown, but manageable.
Much of the route is through different woodland. I liked Stein Wood quite a bit, though it was goofy to cross the Rowlands Castle Golf Course at the end of it!
After Rowlands Castle, you get a great view of Stansted House in the distance down 'The Avenue', and after a bit of easy and typical countryside walking, much of the rest of the way towards Emsworth is along good quality shared use paths through woodland. It was really really pleasant walking.
You get all the way into Emsworth on quiet roads, parks, and greenways. You emerge right at the end in the town. It's a pretty cool way to approach the settlement.
I was really pleased with this route, and pleased even more with the opportunity to get an ice cream on the water at the end of the walk!.
